Udon Thani - Lao Airlines plans to penetrate the Indochina market by linking to the world heritage sites more. The inaugural Luang Phrabang-Udon Thani flight will begin on October 31.
The national airline of Laos offers flights between Udon Thani and Luang Phrabang to give convenience to tourists, according to Udon Thani Governor Sombat Trivatsuvan.
Two kinds of planes will be used on this route. They are 56-seat M60 and 70-seat ART72.
Two flights per week will be primarily available on Friday and Sunday.
The flight will leave Luang Phrabang at 10:45 am while leaving Udon Thani at 12:30 pm.
It takes fourty five minutes to travel between the two cities.
The round-trip ticket costs about 6,000 baht, 2,000 baht cheaper than the Luang Phrabang-Chiang Mai flight.
Lao Airlines also plans to offer the Vientiane-Savannakhet-Bangkok flights, and is considering opening flights on Savannaket-Danang and Xishuangbanna-Luang Phrabang route.
